My oldest is a little mail enthusiast and goes absolutely crazy when we get packages. Thanks to the holiday season, our mailbox has turned into a daily stop. The other day, my daughter pointed out that “our” USPS delivery guy is putting in overtime because, apparently, we're keeping them on their toes with all these presents. "At least they're not bills, right, daddy?" she said with a huge smile on her face.
Being the sweetheart she is, she suggested we show some love not just during Christmas but daily. She decided to turn it into a project and asked Google for ideas (because, you know, Google knows everything).
Armed with a list, she rushed over to me and asked if I could take her to our local Winco. With her hard-earned money from daily and bonus chores (yeah, I pay her to handle the tasks I'd rather avoid – future entrepreneur, maybe?), she gathered supplies for a treat basket. And get this, not just for our friendly USPS folks but UPS, Amazon, and FedEx too.
The excitement on her face at the end of the day, seeing the nearly empty basket, was priceless. Turns out, spreading a little love and appreciation goes a long way!
